Meisner Technique Studio graduate and Studio member Joel Roth has been working on a feature film with a group of Meisner grads called Roxie. It grew out of a series of Table Ones. He’s been working on it as both an actor and co-producer for over a year. Joel has also had lead roles in a Ross Valley Players’ Alternative Works production and more recently a short pilot produced for submission to a French television network.

Our Alumni at Work

David Usner appeared in the short films Goatherder and Sisyphus. He also provided voiceover work for The Hush, an animated short film. He is in his final days of shooting on the feature film Roxie, in which he has a lead role and is co-producer. David’s demo reel is available at www.usner.us. Wanda Wiemar booked a supporting role in the independent feature White Rabbit. She also appeared in two one-act plays entitled Stuff and Authenticity at Pegasus Theatre Company, and she is currently appearing in Sherlock’s Last Case at Pegasus Theatre Company.

 

 

Chris Ginesi’s theatre company, Narrow Way Stage Company, just finished their 2011 season and garnered six Broadway World nominations. He also filmed commercials for Golden One Credit Union and Cisco, starred in a short film, booked a web series, was cast in a feature, and became SAG eligible.

 

 

Jayce Basque just wrapped the independent films Your Father Would Be Proud and Shoot Up. He also recently wrote and completed production on his own short film Knife Chase. He was just cast in a supporting role in the independent film The Prop is the Girl, and he is also continuing production on the web series Deader Days. Glen Caspillo booked a principal role in the short film Loaded Paradise. He is also appearing in Twelve Angry Men opening in January at the Brava Theatre.

 

 

 

Dee Marshall co-hosted the TV pilot Travel Chicks, shot an industrial for Logitech and appeared in the web series Bamboo Dreams. She also appeared in the web series Grounded and played the lead role in the PSA Sexual Abuse, No Excuse.

 

 

Robert Walker Robert Walker is starring in the Anti-Bullying show, The Power of One. He has performed over 200 shows at elementary schools all over northern California.

 

 

 

Tim Martin performed in Empty Chairs at Empty Tables in the Sonoma Variety Show.

 

Maria Mustelier booked a General Automobile Insurance commercial.

 

 

 

Dan Saski recently closed The Ultimate Christmas Show (abridged) at Napa Valley College; a world premier production written and directed by The Reduced Shakespeare Company leaders, Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor. He is currently performing Becky Mode’s one-man-show, Fully Committed, at The 6th Street Playhouse Studio Theater, running until Nov 12th. Directed by Dodds Delzell, Dan plays 40 different characters in this tour-de-force production. He will be taking the production to Napa’s Dreamweaver’s Theater in late January.

Dave Menashe booked a commercial for a political campaign, a Cisco promotional video and a San Jose Sharks commercial. He also provided voiceover talent for VMware.

 

 

 

Tim Kelly is directing The Cherokee Word for Water, a feature-length motion picture based on the life of Wilma Mankiller, the first modern female Chief of the Cherokee Nation. The film is being produced by veteran producer, Paul Heller (Enter the Dragon, Whithall and I, My Left Foot).

 

Veronica Valencia played a supporting role in the feature film Cherry starring James Franco, Heather Graham and Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire). Learn more about Veronica in our Actor’s Spotlight here.

 

 

Dana Lau will be the new face of Wells Fargo banks starting in October. Dana also booked a role in the upcoming web series The Shop.

 

 

 

Gene Gerard Thomas appeared in the short film Low Shoulders and booked a role in the feature White Rabbit. He also booked a role in the TV pilot of OMGYN and appeared in a TV pilot for Germany and France. He also played the lead role in the Pinter play One for the Road with Performers Under Stress Theatre.

 

 

Aubrey Davis is currently appearing as Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray in the showroom at El Dorado Hotel and Casino in Reno, Nevada. Learn more about Aubrey in our Actor’s Spotlight here.

 

 

 

Vlad Sayenko played the role of Bobby in American Buffalo at Actors Theatre of San Francisco.

 

 

 

Joel Roth played the lead in a short series pilot for French television entitled Addict(s) Anonymous. This pilot also features Studio members Kelly Burk, Howard Meehan, Gene Gerard Thomas, Filaree Radich, John Lavette, Cristy Paez and graduate Matt Cadigan. Joel appeared in the independent film Low Shoulders, which starred fellow Studio member Gene Gerard Thomas.

 

Devin Kordt-Thomas appeared as the lead in an episode of Discovery Channel’s new three-part series I Faked My Own Death. He also recently appeared as the lead in the short film The Calling.

 

 

Darlene Kersnar wrote and directed the play Stuff, starring Studio member Wanda Wiemar.

Ariel Hart appeared as Judy in All About Evil starring Natasha Lyonne and Thomas Dekker.

 

 

 

Conor Hamill booked a principal role in the independent feature Redumption, as well as a lead role in Harold Pinter’s The Dumb Waiter. Learn more about Conor here.

 

 

 

Emilie Germain completed production on the film Parallels. Emilie also completed production on the film Victoria with  Nick Frangione.
