Film Acting and The Meisner Technique

How do you match performance take after take and not violate everything your training stands for – to not act and work moment-to-moment from your gut? How do you transfer two-years of being “in-the-moment and out of your head” within the very technical world of film?

Film Acting & The Meisner Technique gives you the skill set — and just as importantly, the confidence — to work technically in front of any camera, in any shot situation you’ll ever encounter, because of your training, not in spite of it.

This 8-week course covers every aspect of film and television acting, from 3-camera sitcoms to single-camera features and everything in between (with special attention to independent filmmaking) — from the first table read to the final edit in post. You’ll learn every technical element of on-camera work: hitting marks, lighting, framing, volume, ADR, green screen, on-set protocol, and matching performance for continuity.
